I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor offering evidence-based care in a safe, affirming space for healing, growth, and meaningful connection across all lived experiences. I support clients on their journey toward well-being with compassion, clinical insight, and a deep respect for their unique path.

  Approach and Experience

As a Licensed Professional Counselor and a certified Child & Adolescent Trauma Professional, I take a thoughtful and grounded approach to therapy, combining clinical expertise with genuine empathy to help you navigate life’s complexities. I specialize in working with children, adolescents, and young adults who have experienced trauma, and I also support individuals facing depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, major life transitions, and emotional dysregulation. I provide a welcoming, judgment-free space where clients from all backgrounds can feel seen, supported, and empowered. Whether you're exploring identity, navigating relationship challenges, managing anxiety, or recovering from burnout, I offer compassionate, culturally sensitive care tailored to your unique needs.

As a single foster and adoptive parent, I bring invaluable firsthand experience to my work with children who have endured trauma in abusive environments. I also deeply understand the challenges faced by foster and adoptive parents, offering insight and empathy shaped by my own journey.

Education and Employment

I hold a bachelor's degree in psychology from the University of Houston. I earned my Master of Education from Houston Baptist University and taught English as a Second Language to students in grades 1–6. Continuing my education, I pursued a master's degree in counseling from UTSA in Community Mental Health Counseling, as well as a degree in School Counseling from Angelo State University. I’ve served as a site coordinator, school counselor, at-risk counselor, and district counselor—each role strengthening my dedication to providing compassionate, culturally responsive support to students and families navigating complex emotional needs.

Therapeutic Style

My work is focused and purposeful. Sessions begin with what’s happening now and build toward meaningful change using strategies that fit your life. My approach is client-centered and draws from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help you understand how thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are connected. This awareness is key to breaking patterns and building resilience. I integrate mindfulness to support the mind-body connection, reduce anxiety, and increase emotional regulation. Therapy with me is collaborative and structured—we process experiences organically to create meaningful change. I provide tools and personalized homework between sessions to deepen insight and reinforce progress. Whether you're facing depression, low self-esteem, anxiety, or past trauma, I meet you with care and a commitment to help you move forward.
